Barry Manilows Gift Of Music - from THE DESERT SUN
COACHELLA VALLEY - Palm Springs resident Barry Manilow is pledging roughly $250,000 worth of music supplies to the public middle and high schools in the Coachella Valley. The Manilow Fund kicked off 2008 by donating to each of the Barry Manilow Scholarships. The Barry Manilow Scholarship is available in the music department at each of the following eight universities:

The BMIFC Holiday Party 2007, being held at the Las Vegas Hilton on Friday, November 30th, raised over $3,000.00 for the Manilow Fund. Barry agreed to match the donations dollar-for-dollar so the Manilow Fund raised $6,000.00 in total. Stay tuned for photos from the event!
10.2007 The Manilow Fund visited CAMP HEARTLAND for the second year in a row and brought the camp a check for $20,000.
10.2007 Thank you so much for your support of AIDS Walk Los Angeles! Last Sunday’s event brought over 30,000 walkers into Los Angeles for the 23rd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles, and with the help of organizations such as the Manilow Fund for Health and Hope, raised an unbelievable $3,905,723 for AIDS Project Los Angeles and other Los Angeles benefiting AIDS service organizations.

Many of you may be familiar with Barry’s long-time friend and songwriting partner, Adrienne Anderson (who co-wrote COULD IT BE MAGIC, DAYBREAK…among others). Adrienne wrote the book and lyrics for CITY KID, THE MUSICAL, which is premiering at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood, CA. The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope has joined the fight against AIDS!
We have created a team for the 23rd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles.

In 2006, the AIDS walk LA had 20,000 participants and raised more than $3.7 million dollars!
